EN: I've always been a sushi passionate and I've tried loads of restaurants all around the city, but I finally got the opportunity to experience home made sushi with my boyfriend (he's the actual cook, I'm just a learner for now :P). Last week while he was preparing all the ingredients and started cooking I had the chance to capture a few moments for the blog. I hope this post will inspire you and help you if you're willing to try it out ;) Hope you like it!
EN: Finding the right rice is extremely important, so you have to chose a rice which is appositely used for making sushi, and most probably you'll find at the back of the box the instructions to cook it properly. Once it's ready, gently boil in a pan some rice or apple vinegar with some sugar and salt, and when they're well melted pour the vinegar in the rice and blend it properly.
EN: It's up to you choosing the fish, I personally prefer salmon because it has a delicate taste and it's also cheaper comparing to other fish such as tuna. The important thing is to always check that the fish is fresh, there's no joking with raw food.
EN: Avocado and cucumber where the vegetables we used, they also have to be cut in a particular way, we cut them in long length. Be sure you're avocado is mature enough so it will feel smooth and tasty in your mouth.
EN: Toasted Nori weed and a bamboo mat is what you need to finally get started. In this case, Alessandro was preparing the basic "Maki".
EN: Once you've put some water on the edges of the sea weed roll the bamboo mat and press firmly in order to give the right shape to your Maki rolls.
EN: The Uramaki is just ready, as you can see the roll is covered by cellophane which protected the bamboo mat from getting full of sticky rice.
IT: Sucessivamente spargere in modo uniforme i semi di sesamo tostati.
EN: Sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds.
Et voilà!
Wow the photos look amazing and the sushi so yummy. Love it.

Great photos and instructions on how to make sushi! It's "easier" than it looks. Rolling a sushi roll up tightly without having all the insides fall out is the toughest part. Looks like you managed to master it your first time!
