Home made sushi

Buona sera a tutti!

Good evening to all! If you already follow me on facebook and instagram (@ariannaiisabella) you will now that this Saturday Andrea and I tested the home made sushi as it is my number one fav food in the world! For being the very first time we tried to cook sushi at home I think it was not bad at all, but for sure we'll have to cook it again so we can prove are cooking skills!

Ingredients for sushi: After the rice, take a few tablespoons of rice vinegar, sugar and salt, nori seaweed, wasabi and soy sauce. For the filling: fruit and vegetables such as cucumbers, carrots, avocados. Regarding the choice of fish you can choose out of tuna, salmon, shrimp and crab. It will take the "stuoietta" to turn the sushi and good knives to cut Maki, the filleting and fish.

- For the preparation of Maki, the traditional nori rolls with the external seaweed you have to
stretche the seaweed on a bamboo mat and tinge the edges with water, using your fingers.
With a wooden spatula you handle small amounts of rice (which will be very sticky) and flatten algae. Then you insert the filling, for example, fish and cucumber, or avocado and fish, more or less in the middle of seaweed, in your direction.

- With the help of the bamboo mat, you begin to wrap the seaweed on itself, trying to rotate and simultaneously press the Maki, to obtain a very compact and roll diameter rather little. This part is not simple, but with a little 'practice it will get better!

- Eliminate the edges of the maki and cut the roll into slices about 1cm. The sushi should be kept in the fridge at least a couple of hours before being served, and pulled out of the refrigerator 10-15 minutes before serving.

Io prediligo il salmone!

I prefer salmon!

Hope this post helps you in some way, take care! xx
